Gina M. Mann *EA, CFP®
Certified Financial Planner
I have over 37 years of experience in accounting and taxation. I hold a bachelor’s degree in
accounting with a minor in finance from Long Island University, as well as a Certificate in
Financial Planning from Boston University. Additionally, I am licensed as both an Enrolled
Agent and a Certified Financial Planner (CFP). These credentials have served me well, enabling
me to offer my clients a broad and informed perspective.
My desire to pursue accounting and financial planning was inspired, in part, by watching my
grandmothers. Through their example, they taught me the principles of good stewardship—what
we would now call being a good fiduciary. My Grandma Jean kept a ledger pad, tracking every
dollar in and out. She even had a dedicated office space for her finances. For just a dollar or two,
she could prepare a meal for her large family, transforming a bag of beans and day-old bread into
her special pasta fagioli, infused with love in every bite.
My other grandmother, Grandma Zaubi, was a natural saver. She stockpiled necessities in a
closet, washed and reused Wonder Bread bags, and saved twine. When I entered high school, she
surprised me by gifting several thousand dollars she had quietly set aside over the years for my
college education. Their carefulness with money and resources made a lasting impression on me.
I saw firsthand what it meant to be a good steward of money. They came from a generation
where it was essential to handle every hard-earned dollar responsibly. That sense of
responsibility is deeply ingrained in me. I feel honored to have my clients’ trust, and I approach
the process of helping others achieve their financial goals with respect. I feel the guidance of my
grandmothers with me every step of the way.
Along with my husband, Ken, I am the co-owner of Freedom Financial Solutions. Our business
handles a wide range of filings, including personal, business, estate, and not-for-profit returns.
As an Enrolled Agent, I am qualified to offer extensive tax representation services before the IRS
and various state tax authorities. My in-depth understanding of the tax code and dedication to
client service have earned me a reputation as a trusted advisor in the financial community.
Ken and I have three grown children, a wonderful daughter-in-law, and two cats, Nitro and
Sugar. In my free time, I enjoy gardening, jet skiing with Ken, tackling small house projects, and
spending quality time with my family and pets. I love the Hudson River, where I collect sea glass
and driftwood, and I also love crafting whenever time allows.
